Personalized purses

I can make a purse with the stuff you like on it. Well I can try anyway. Here are some purses I made for specific people.

I made this for my friend Maggie. This purse rocks cause it has the London undergroun map on it. The other side has the ghost of John Lennon, our favorite restaurant Wagamama's, and a London pop icon singing in a shit musical. Beat that.

I made thisne for my friend Marisa. I could try and explain the front side of the purse, but you would never understand. The back has one of my favorite views of London and, of course, an inside joke.

So this one was fun cause it was for a friends girlfriend. I had him list some stuff about her, favorite colors, films, music, styles. What kind of purses she likes, this kind of stuff. He also sent me her myspace page which was really helpful. Okay now I feel like a stalker. One cool thing was I picked out a few purses and a few pictures and showed them to him to see what he thought. He picked the exact picture and purse that I was thinking of. So, anyway, I hope she likes it.

I love putting quotes on the inside! She's an Ani Difranco fan so I couldn't resist, it says:
Sometimes the beauty is easy,
sometimes you don't have to try at all,
sometimes you can hear the wind blow in a handshake,
sometimes there's poetry written right
on the bathroom wall.

Let me know if you want to work on a purse with me. I am pretty perfectionist about the purses so I have a tendency to "blow them up". The point is you have to be flexible about it.

Robots! for Becca

This purse was commissioned by my friend's husband as a Christmas gift.

I just finished it. That's just sort of how it goes...

Who am I?

Email me: duoverpurses@gmail.com

Welcome to my purse page!

I live in San Francisco and I make purses when I am bored. It started last spring when some friends and I used to spend our afternoons making purses together. My friend Cara has made some amazing purses, but she keeps them all for herself. Too bad! Now she's a goldsmith in New York, so there. Cassie lives in the South Bay and does design for a golf course. She also drive the beer cart, good life! Cassie has made a bunch of kick ass purses, I think some might even be for sale. CASSIE GO TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR PURSES!

Anyway Cassie and I came up with Duover. No one likes it or can pronounce it, but it's here nonetheless. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or want to see any of these in person. Sometimes its hard to tell their size, shape, and color in those pictures.

Taking care of your purse

Please take care of your purse!

It doesn't like to get wet, so don't wear it as a hat in the rain.

It doesn't like to be picked at, so don't pick at it unless you are a trained professional (me!)

Do NOT use it to hit your little brother! Although many of the purses have sharp edges ideal for whacking someone, please refrain! it may damage the purse.

Shameless Picture Gallery

Here are some pictures of the Duover girls, just to prove we exist and that we do in fact know eachother.

I exist!

Cara exists!

Cassie exists!

By the way, the theme is Tounges.

Proof that Cara and Cassie know eachother or have at least engaged in one cake fight involving our "friends" (read: with friends like these who needs enemies?) Dave (aka: I'm pretty sure he spit on Cara's snow cap (drippy fiend)) and Kelby (Milk fight) Balson.
